Diego Montero

Born in Mexico City, Diego Montero González comes from a family deeply rooted in tradition. He started to show interest in cooking at a very early age, learning from his Grandmother. Diego’s Abuela prepared the most delicious recipes that were passed down through generations.

In 2013 he started to work as a cook at the restaurant Boniato and La Farine in Mexico City.

He moved in Canada in 2018 to pursue studies in English Language. He met a Canadian girl and two short, but wonderful years later, she became his wife. He has now lived in Canada for 3 years and during this time he’s been sharing his love of cooking Mexican food with his friends and family. His best friend Sebastian Lozada, business graduate from UPEI and fellow Latin American, felt that Diego’s food was something special. Sebastian and Diego have since teamed up to share their love of cooking, perfecting recipes to share.
